Drunken farmhouse cheese

The legend says farmers in the Veneto region of Italy started soaking cheeses in wine barrels to protect them from spoilage and theft in times of war. Today, wine infused cheese is a delicacy for its purple marbled appearance and its slightly tangy, acidic and fruity taste.
